There have been 23 further Covid-related deaths reported in Northern Ireland since Friday – nine in the last 24 hours.
Six of those deaths since Friday occurred in the Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough, with a further one also being reported in Mid Ulster.
There have been 52 deaths in the last seven days, compared to 44 in the seven days prior to that.
According to the official dashboard, there were a further 1,764 positive cases reported in the last 24 hours, with 271 in Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon – the second highest in NI. There were 126 positive cases in Newry, Mourne and Down while Mid-Ulster District recorded 119. Belfast had the highest with 287.
A total of 7,827 individuals were tested in that time.
Over the last seven days the highest percentage of individuals testing positive were aged 10-14.
There are 407 – a decrease of two – people in hospitals across Northern Ireland as a result of the virus, 46 – no change – of whom are in intensive care unit.
There are 104 – up 12 – Covid patients in the Southern Trust area, 80 of whom are in Craigavon Area Hospital. There are 13 patients in Daisy Hill and 10 in South Tyrone Hospital.
There are currently 18 ICU beds available in Northern Ireland.
The total number of deaths now stands at 2,417.
Hospital occupancy currently stands at 104% – a 1% decrease on Friday – of capacity.
The Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council area accounts for 329 deaths overall; Newry, Mourne and Down District accounts for 183 while Mid-Ulster has registered 223 deaths.
