The family of a missing 15-year-old girl who went missing on Saturday wearing just her pyjamas have issued a nationwide appeal.
Shannon McCann from Randalstown was in Carrickfergus for the weekend.
However, it is understood she lost all contact with her friends around 6pm on Saturday.
Her mother Michelle Rogers has issued a desperate plea for help in finding her daughter.
“My daughter Shannon has been missing for 24 hours now,” she said.
“Her last snap chat was 22 hours ago on a train and her phone has been switched off ever since. If anybody knows her whereabouts please contact the PSNI or let me know. Please share this and help us find her.”
Shannon is described a 5ft 7in and slim build with a very pale complexion.
An officer for PSNI Larne said: “We are investigating a report of a missing person – if you have seen Shannon McCann (15yo) recently please give us a call on 101 (ref. 1287 3/2/18).
“Shannon was last seen wearing a grey tracksuit with pyjamas underneath and Nike trainers.”
The appeal has been shared across Northern Ireland and beyond as attempts to locate the teenager intensify.
