There have been a further 29 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the past 24 hours, according to the Department of Health.

It takes the total number up to 6,217.

There have been no deaths, meaning that total remains at 557.

Over the past seven days there have been eight confirmed cases in the Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon borough but Craigavon Area Hospital currently has no inpatients. There are nine in Northern Ireland with two in ICU – one of whom is currently being ventilated.

There have been 204 positive cases in the last seven days with 20 coming in Newry, Mourne and Down.

Meanwhile, the Health Minister Robin Swann said Northern Ireland is now at “probably the most dangerous or riskiest” points.

Speaking on the BBC Talkback programme, Mr Swann said: “If we get this wrong now, if we don’t keep our controls in place, if we don’t see the people of Northern Ireland actually respecting the guidance and regulations we are asking them to, we could see a further increase of Covid outbreaks, more hospitalisations, more people going into ICU, and unfortunately more deaths.”
