There have been no further Covid-related deaths reported by the Department of Health in Northern Ireland today (Friday).
That’s according to the official dashboard, where the overall total number of deaths recorded by the Department still stands at 2,149.
the Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council area accounts for 285 deaths overall. Newry, Mourne and Down District accounts for 166 deaths while Mid-Ulster has registered 205 deaths.
There were a further 96 positive cases reported in the last 24 hours with nine in Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon. There were 17 in Newry, Mourne and Down and Mid-Ulster District recorded 12 in that time.
A total of 2,298 individuals were tested.
There are 39 – seven less than Thursday – people in hospitals across Northern Ireland as a result of the virus, three – no change – of whom are in intensive care units.
Currently, there are currently nine Covid patients in hospitals across the Southern Trust area – seven of those are in Craigavon.
There are currently 13 ICU beds available in Northern Ireland.
As it stands, the NI Executive has agreed that indoor hospitality will re-open on May 24, including B&Bs and hotels
Stay local advice will be removed and schools will be allowed to carry out extracurricular activities.
Up to 500 spectators will be allowed to attend outdoor sporting events too.
