There has been one further Covid-related death reported in Northern Ireland in the past 24 hours.
This death occurred in Mid-Ulster where the total now stands at 246. The have been 355 deaths recorded in the Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough with Newry Mourne and Down district sitting at 197.
There have been a further 1,471 – up 193 cases – recorded in the last 24 hours, according to the Department of Health’s latest daily dashboard update.
There were 229 positive cases in Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon – the second highest in NI. There were 86 cases in Mid-Ulster, while Newry, Mourne and Down recorded 149. Belfast – the highest in NI – recorded 246 positive cases.
A total of 4,525 individuals were tested in that time.
There are 347 – down 21 – people in hospitals across Northern Ireland as a result of the virus, 33 – up two – of whom are in intensive care units.
There are currently 88 – down five – Covid patients in the Southern Trust area, 54 – down six – of whom are in Craigavon Area Hospital. There are 10 ICU beds available across Northern Ireland.
The total number of deaths now stands at 2,600.
