There have been three further Covid-related deaths reported in Northern Ireland – which brings the seven day total up to 25.
According to the official dashboard, there were a further 1,641 positive cases reported in the last 24 hours with 167 in Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon – the third highest in NI. There were 121 in Newry, Mourne and Down while Mid-Ulster District recorded 215 – the second highest in NI. Belfast had 315 cases in the last 24 hours.
A total of 5,295 individuals were tested in that time.
There are 226 people in hospitals across Northern Ireland as a result of the virus, 39 of whom are in an intensive care unit.
There are 59 Covid patients in the Southern Trust area, 45 of whom are in Craigavon Area Hospital. There are 13 patients in Daisy Hill.
There are currently nine ICU beds available in Northern Ireland.
Hospital occupancy currently stands at 103% of capacity.
The total number of deaths now stands at 2,209.
The Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council area accounts for 296 deaths overall. Newry, Mourne and Down District accounts for 171 deaths while Mid-Ulster has registered 208 deaths.
