There have been 12 further Covid-related deaths reported in Northern Ireland since Friday – five over the past 24 hours.
The total number of deaths in Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council area now stands at 353 – up one since Friday – and in the Newry Mourne and Down district it sits at 196 – up one. The total number of deaths in Mid-Ulster is 245 – up two over the weekend.
There have been a further 1,109 cases recorded in the last 24 hours, according to the Department of Health’s latest daily dashboard update.
There were 146 positive cases in Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon – the second highest in NI. There were 97 cases in Mid-Ulster, while Newry, Mourne and Down recorded 115. Belfast – the highest in NI – recorded 164 positive cases.
A total of 2,741 individuals were tested in that time.
There are 329 – down 31 – people in hospitals across Northern Ireland as a result of the virus, 35 – no change – of whom are in intensive care units.
There are currently 92 Covid patients in the Southern Trust area, 58 of whom are in Craigavon Area Hospital. There are 18 ICU beds available across Northern Ireland.
The total number of deaths now stands at 2,593.
