There has been 12 further Covid-related death reported in Northern Ireland in the past past 24 hours.
The total number of deaths now stands at 2,737. One of those deaths occurred in the ABC Borough, which now accounts for 375 fatalities.
There have been 205 deaths – an increase of two – in the NMD district, while Mid Ulster recorded no further deaths leaving the area’s total at 253.
There have been a further 1,481 – up 486 – cases recorded in the last 24 hours, according to the Department of Health’s latest daily dashboard update.
There were 141 positive cases in Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon – the fourth highest in NI. There were 150 cases in Newry, Mourne and Down – the third highest in NI, while Mid-Ulster recorded 119. Belfast – the highest in NI – recorded 227 positive cases.
A total of 3,813 individuals were tested in that time.
There are 378 – no change – people in hospitals across Northern Ireland as a result of the virus, 41 – up two – of whom are in intensive care units.
There are currently 98 – up one – Covid patients in the Southern Trust area, 72 – no change – of whom are in Craigavon Area Hospital. There are two ICU beds available across Northern Ireland.
Hospital occupancy in Northern Ireland currently stands at 108% – down 1%.
