A stolen car found in Lurgan, county Armagh is believed to be responsible for crashing into a police car and injuring police officers in Belfast.
Police attempted to stop the stolen vehicle after spotting it in the Ligoniel Road area of Belfast this afternoon.
However the car, while making its escape, crashed into the pursuing police car, injuring two officers in the process.
The PSNI’s helicopter was used to track the vehicle to Lurgan where it crashed into another two cars on Silverwood Road.
Three males, aged 15, 26 and 29 were arrested on suspicion of a number of motoring offences and are currently in custody assisting police with their enquiries.
Two officers sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the incident, a police spokesman said.
The Silverwood Road has been closed between Kiln Lane and Tanaghmore Gardens.
Police are currently investigating the incident.
