Police believe three involved in burglary at pensioner’s Keady home

Police believe up to three people may have been involved in a burglary at pensioners home in Keady last night (Friday).

It happened at around 6pm in the Crossdened Row area of the town.

Anyone who has any information that may assist police with enquiries is asked to get in touch on the non-emergency 101 number, or Crimestoppers can be called anonymously on 0800 555 111, quoting reference number 1129.

Local MLA Cathal Boylan has slammed those responsible for the burglary on a “vulnerable pensioner’s property”.

“People are angered and disgusted by this criminal incident,” said the Sinn Fein representative. ” They view it not only as an attack on this vulnerable pensioner’s home, but also an attack on this community itself.

“I would appeal to all to be vigilant and watch out not only for ourselves, but our neighbours, particularly the most vulnerable.

“I would also urge anyone who may have information regarding this incident to pass it onto the PSNI. Those engaged in this type of criminal activity need to face the full rigours of the law.”
