Police in Newry have charged two people with going equipped for theft.
The charges relate to an incident on Belfast Road on Sunday, February 8, when a magnet, believed to be used for removing security tags, was found in a car.
A 29-year-old woman and 30-year-old man were arrested and later charged with going equipped for theft.
They will appear before Newry Magistrates’ Court on March 4.
As is normal procedure the charges will be reviewed by the PPS.
