Twenty-five cattle were stolen in two separate incidents in which police in south Armagh believe were linked.
Police are investigating a number of incidents believed to have occurred on Monday 26 and Tuesday, January 27.
Constable Michael Finucane said: “We received reports of cattle thefts from fields at Forkhill Road, Mullaghbawn and Mountain Road, Dromintee sometime between 6.30pm on Monday 26 and 9.15am on Tuesday 27.
“Twenty three cattle were reported stolen from Forkhill Road and two from Mountain Road and at this stage we are investigating a link between the two incidents.”
Police also received reports of two burglaries at houses in Michael McCreesh Park, Forkhill and Poets Meadow, Mullaghbawn which took place on Monday, January 26.
Entry was gained to both properties between 1.30pm and 10.30pm on Monday. Both houses were ransacked and police are investigating a possible link between both burglaries.
