Sergeant Alwyn Peters explained: “On Saturday, 8 November, we received a report of a group of five men and one woman stealing stock from a clothing store in a shopping centre on Central Way.
“Staff at the store detained one male and the other five people made off.
“We attended and a 56 year old man was arrested for theft and going equipped. He was subsequently charged to appear before Craigavon Magistrates’ Court on 5 December.
“On the following day we received a report of theft from a department store in the shopping centre. We attended and arrested a 26 year old female. She was later released on bail pending further enquiries.
