A man was convicted at Craigavon Magistrates’ Court today for claiming benefits he was not entitled to.
Jeffrey McClean (38) of The Hawthorns, Portadown claimed Jobseekers Allowance and Rates Relief totalling £8,010 while failing to declare employment. He was sentenced to 140 hours community service.
He is also required to repay any outstanding money wrongfully obtained to the Social Security Agency.
