An Annaghmore man has been banned from the roads for driving whilst unfit.
Jacob Richardson (22), of Derrycoose Road, also admitted failing to provide a preliminary breath sample and an evidential sample.
A prosecutor told Craigavon Magistrates’ Court that on November 2 this year the defendant’s vehicle hit two parked vehicles in Portadown.
There was a strong smell of intoxicating liquor and the defendant was unsteady on his feet.
He failed to provide samples and was “belligerent” with police.
He had no record.
A defence lawyer said the defendant had been at a “golf event” and made a “foolish” decision to drive instead of getting a taxi.
The damage to the vehicles has been paid for.
As well as a 16 months driving ban the defendant was fined £300.
