A Co Armagh company is hoping to build new industrial premises in Portadown at a cost in the region of £2.3 million.
The major investment would also see the addition of 12 jobs on site.
An application for the development – in the name of Oakleaf Forestry Engineering – is currently being considered by Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council.
Described as a general industrial unit, it would be located 220 metres to the north of 12 Charlestown Drive, Portadown. The earmarked site is, according to the submission, a vacant site within an industrial estate.
The single-storey premises would stretch to close to 20,000 sq feet.
And according to Construction Information Services, the new unit would, if approved, represent an investment of around £2.3 million.
According to Oakleaf’s website, it operates a forestry machinery and distribution company based on the Derryall Road in Portadown.

The application will be considered before a recommendation comes back to ABC Council’s planning committee for a decision to be made on whether or not it should be allowed to proceed.
