A county Armagh man has been handed a community service sentence after he ran on to the pitch during Celtic’s Champions League tie with PSG last month.
John Hatton, 21, from Portadown, was ordered to carry out 160 hours of unpaid work.
He also been banned from attending football matches in the UK for four years.
On September 12, Hatton ran on to the Celtic Park pitch in Glasgow before trying to kick PSG forward Kylian Mbappe.
He was escorted off the pitch by stewards and held in police custody.
Hatton was punched on the head by a fellow supporter Anthony Lavelle as he was led away by police. Lavelle was subsequently fined £400.
The court heard how Hatton had been drinking since 11am, prior to the 7.45pm kick-off.
A defence lawyer said his client was full of remorse for his actions.
Celtic have been charged by Uefa and face sanctions in the coming weeks.
