A Portadown man who was caught drink driving without insurance whilst disqualified must wait until next month to learn his fate.
The 36-year-old’s barrister said he believed the case had “crossed the custody threshold” as the offences occurred not long after the defendant was disqualified.
Mark Fleming, of Charles Street, pleaded guilty to driving with excess alcohol, driving whilst disqualified and using a vehicle without insurance at Craigavon Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.
Defence barrister Aaron Thompson stated: “The driving with excess alcohol falls quite close after the disqualification. It would be a case which merits a pre-sentence report as it does cross the custody threshold.”
District Judge Mark McGarrity commented that he believed that this was the case and adjourned sentencing to allow for the preparation of a report.
Fleming was told to return on December 11 for sentencing.
