Make a date with your canine companion and come along to check out the Dogs Trust Community Event in Brownlow Community Hub in Portadown.
Hosted by the UK’s largest dog welfare charity in partnership with Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council, the event offers FREE microchipping and advice on responsible dog ownership.
All breeds of dogs, whether a pup or an adult, are welcome to come along on Tuesday, January 9 and
Wednesday 10 from 11am to 3pm.
The team will be offering FREE on-the- spot microchipping for dogs that aren’t yet chipped (microchipping is a legal requirement as of April 2016).
They will also advise you about updating or changing your details should it be needed to make sure your dog’s details are correct on their microchip especially if you have moved address or changed telephone number.
As well as FREE microchipping for your pet, the team will carry out basic health checks which includes checking ears, teeth and coat condition to make sure your dog is happy, fit and healthy.
Dog owners will be provided with a responsible dog ownership pack, including handy tips and useful resources for you to continue to use at home.
No appointment is required, the event operates on a drop in basis, so be sure to come along with your dog and say hello!
