Ambulance and Police

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a seriously injured man in Portadown.

Inspector Walker said: “We received a report at approximately 6am this morning, Tuesday 20th January, concerning a man who had been potentially struck by a vehicle in the Loughgall Road area of Portadown.

“Officers attended the scene, alongside colleagues from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service, and medical treatment was provided to the man for a significant head injury.

“He was taken onward to hospital where he remains in a critical condition at this time. We’re investigating the circumstances surrounding this report and how the man sustained his injuries.

“One line of enquiry we’re investigating is that he was involved in a collision with a car. We want to hear from anyone who was in the area prior to the time of the report and noticed what happened to make contact with us on 101, quoting reference number 116 20/01/26.

“We’re also especially keen to hear from anyone who has dash-cam or other video footage that could help our investigation, and who noticed a blue Skoda Octavia in the area around the time of the report.”
