 
																								
												
												
											Police and ambulance crews descended on a property in Portadown following reports of a stabbing incident this evening (Wednesday).
A large police presence was spotted in the Glenmahon Avenue area of the town, just off the Tandragee Road.
There have been unconfirmed reports of a stabbing, with ambulance crews leaving the scene shortly after 8.30pm.
DUP MLA Jonathan Buckley said: “I have spoken to police in relation to this incident. They are investigating a potential assault.
“My understanding is the situation is under control.”
Mr Buckley said local residents have no need to worry.
