A man is accused of assaulting two people and possessing an ‘umbrella’ as an offensive weapon.
The weapon charge relates to, according to his charge sheet, High Street Mall in Portadown.
An incident allegedly happened on December 12 last year.
Viorel Purcareata (45), of West Street, Portadown, appeared at Craigavon Magistrates’ Court on Friday via video link from prison.
He had the assistance of an interpreter at court.
The defendant was further remanded in custody and the case was adjourned to January 9.
