A man accused of rape and sexual assault will go before the Crown Court next month.
Filipe Batalha, 21, of Church Street, Portadown appeared charged with rape, sexual assault and sexual assault by penetration at Craigavon Magistrates’ Court on Friday.
Court heard that all of the alleged offences occurred on June 4 and related to one individual.
Batalha is accused of penetrating the vagina of the alleged victim with his fingers.
Prosecution ruled that there was a prima facie case based on the papers at a preliminary inquiry on Friday.
Defence barrister Joel Lindsay made no contrary submissions.
Batalha was remanded in custody to appear before Craigavon Crown Court on March 26.
