A Portadown man who was seen by police on the ground outside a bar calling bouncers “fat b*******” has been fined £250.
And the 22-year-old replied “dead on” as he was handed his sentence.
David Hamill, of Parkside, pleaded guilty to disorderly behaviour at Craigavon Magistrates’ Court on Friday.
Court heard that on October 13, at around 00.40am, police on patrol on West Street, Portadown, observed the defendant being restrained on the ground outside a licenced premise.
Hamill was heard calling the bouncers of the establishment “fat b*******”.
He was subsequently handcuffed and arrested for disorderly behaviour.
When interviewed, the defendant stated that he had no memory of the incident.
Hamill, who represented himself in court, was asked if he had anything to say and replied with “Nah”.
District Judge Bernie Kelly ordered the defendant to pay a fine of £250, along with the offender’s levy.
Hamill said “dead on” as the sentence was read out to him.
And when asked if he required more than four weeks to pay, he replied: “Four weeks is enough aye.”
