More than 200 bales were slashed open in a field in county Armagh.
Police are issuing an appeal for witnesses and information following the report of criminal damage in the vicinity of the Derrycarne Road in the Portadown area.
Constable Khattak said :“It was reported that between midnight and 10am on Friday 4th November, 226 bales of haylage were slashed open in a field on the Derrycarne Road, Derryall in the Portadown.
“We are appealing to anyone with any information or to anyone that may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area to contact Lurgan Police Staion on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 349 on 04/11/16.
“Or, alternatively if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
