Police appeal after daylight burglary in Portadown estate

Detectives are appealing for information after a house in a Portadown housing development was ransacked and a sum of cash stolen yesterday (Wednesday).

The burglary happened in the Drumnagoon Meadows area.

Detective Sergeant Egerton said police received a report shortly after 4.30pm on Wednesday, April 22, that entry had been forced to a residential property.

“The property had been ransacked and an amount of cash taken. We believe the burglary may have occurred around 1.00pm,” he said.

“Our enquiries are ongoing and we would appeal to anyone who noticed anything suspicious in the area to contact us on 101, quoting reference 1118 22/04/26.

“We would also ask local residents to check their CCTV or doorbell footage and also dash cam.”
