A 47-year-old Portadown man accused of assaulting his partner has been released on bail.
Andrew Abraham, with an address listed as Alexandra Gardens, is charged with assaults and contravening a Non-Molestation Order on June 23 and July 2 this year.
The defendant, on Friday, appeared at Craigavon Magistrates’ Court via video link from prison.
He had 29 previous convictions, 10 of which are breaches of Court Orders.
District Judge Michael Ranaghan said that with “great reluctance” he would admit the defendant to bail.
The defendant was bailed in the sum of £300 to an address at Corcrain Drive in Portadown; he is excluded from Alexandra Gardens; he is not to contact his partner; and he is not to be intoxicated in public.
The case was adjourned to September 5.
