A Portadown man who admitted to grabbing a female twice will have to wait until later this month to learn his sentence.
Court heard that a “high-level” accusation which had originally been made against the 24-year-old by the injured party was later withdrawn.
David Armstrong, of Dawson Green, pleaded guilty to two counts of common assault at Craigavon Magistrates’ Court on Friday.
Defence barrister Aaron Thompson stated: “Withdrawal statements have been made. Mr Armstrong is pleading to the series of events which he made admissions to during interview.
“The injured party had made a very high-level accusation. He made admissions to a low-level offence of grabbing her twice, once outside the house and once inside.”
District Judge Bernie Kelly said that she would require a pre-sentence report as this occurred within a domestic setting.
Armstrong was released on continuing bail to appear on August 30 for sentencing.
