‘Suspicious male’ may have entered house in Portadown

A report was also received of criminal damage caused to a property in the Woodlands Avenue area of Portadown

Police are appealing for information and witnesses following a report of a house being entered in the Loughgall Road area of Portadown.

The incident was reported shortly after 8.20am today, Thursday, February 26.

Sergeant Bigger said: “A bag was taken from inside the house and discarded in the garden of the property. Enquiries remain ongoing at this stage to establish if anything was taken from the house.

“Sometime later, shortly before 12.30pm, a report was received of criminal damage caused to a property in the Woodlands Avenue area of Portadown.

“Our enquiries are ongoing, and we would appeal for anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity, to get in touch.”

It is understood the incident is connected to a number of reports of a “suspicious male” sighted in the area this morning.

Sergeant Bigger continued: “We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have seen a male dressed in dark clothing, a baseball cap, grey coloured tracksuit top and bottoms, trainers and a face covering, in either area early this morning.
