A Portadown teenager will have to wait until later this month to be sentenced for the theft of a designer handbag and various other items to the value of around £190.
The district judge commented that this was “quite an orchestrated offence” as she ordered a pre-sentence report.
James Mullan, 18, of Lynden Gate Park, pleaded guilty to four counts of fraud by abuse of position, two counts of theft and fraud by false representation at Craigavon Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.
It was heard the thefts were in regard to two throws worth £60 and a Ralph Lauren handbag to the value of £129.99 from TK Maxx on November 4.
District Judge Bernie Kelly stated: “I am going to need a pre-sentence report. If memory serves me right from a co-accused that has already appeared this was quite an orchestrated offence.”
The case will return to court on June 26 for sentencing.
