Tributes have been paid to a Portadown pastor who died suddenly this week.
Pastor William Leslie Dunlop was called home on Tuesday (July 16) at his home in Killycomain Drive.
He was the pastor of Bible Pattern Pentecostal Church, which is based on Fitzroy Street in the Brownstown area of the town.
A death notice has described Mr Dunlop as the beloved husband of Sadie and loving father of Jonathan and Jason.
It read: “The oversight, members and friends of Bible Pattern Church, Portadown, deeply regret the passing of their highly esteemed Pastor, Leslie Dunlop, and extend their deepest sympathy to his wife Sadie and sons Jonathan and Jason assuring them of our Christian love and prayers.
“‘I thank my God upon every remembrance of you’ – Phil 1 v 3.”

Funeral arrangements are to be announced later and it is requested the house be strictly private.
Following the news of Pastor’s Dunlop’s passing a number of people took to social media to pay tribute.
One said: “So sorry to hear of Pastor Dunlop’s passing. He was the most caring, compassionate person you would ever meet. He had such a love for people and sharing the Gospel with them and showing love in such practical ways too, whether it was giving them a lift or groceries or visiting them in Maghaberry Prison.
“He was so good to my mum and dad when we lived in Brownstown. It’s absent from the body and present with the Lord. With Christ which is far better.. remembering Sadie and the boys in prayer and his dear congregation that you would know comfort at this very sad time.”
Another added: “Deeply sorry to hear of the sudden death of Leslie another family member gone too soon my heart felt condolences to his wife Sadie and sons what great comfort for his wife and family absent from the body present with the king of kings thoughts and prayers for the days ahead.”
