Tributes paid following ‘devastating’ death of popular Portadown classic car dealer

Tributes have been paid following the sudden passing of a young father-of-one and well-known car dealer from Portadown.

Christopher Wilson, of the popular family-run Ballintaggart Cars & Classics in Portadown, passed away on Monday, March 10.

The heartbreaking news has sent shockwaves throughout the Portadown community.

Together with his beloved wife Elisha, he welcomed their first child, Lennon, into the world just a few short months ago in December 2024.

Described warmly as “one of life’s gentlemen,” those who knew and loved him have spoken of their absolute devastation upon hearing the news of his death.

Sharing their condolences, one person said: “Absolutely heartbreaking news. Thinking of Elisha, Tina, and all of Chris’s family at this extremely horrific time. You all will be in my thoughts and prayers in the dark days ahead.”

Another added: “Condolences to the whole family! An absolute gent and will be dearly missed.”

A death notice described Christopher as the much-loved husband of Elisha, devoted daddy of Lennon, cherished son of Brian and Beverly, dearly loved brother of Katie, dear son-in-law of Tina and Neill, brother-in-law of Sophie, and uncle of Nate.

His funeral details are expected to be announced in due course.
