Two students from Belfast appeared in court earlier today following the discovery of £30,000 of cannabis in a car they were travelling in.
Emma Singery and Lukas Abromavicius were both arrested on after their car was stopped by police on the Armagh Road in Portadown at around 1.30pm on Monday afternoon.
The defendants, both with an address in Fitzroy Avenue in Belfast, appeared before Craigavon Magistrates’ Court.
The BMW car was seized and a number of further items were recovered in follow-up searches at two houses.
Abromavicius faces charges of possession of a Class A controlled drug, possession of a Class A controlled drug with intent to supply, three counts of possession of a Class B controlled drug and two counts of possession of a Class B controlled drug with intent to supply.
Singery has been charged with two counts of possession of a Class B controlled drug and two of possession of a Class B controlled drug with intent to supply.
Police confirmed that the stop was just routine.
District Judge Bernie Kelly released Singery on her own bail of £250, which included the condition that she live with her father and have no contact with her co-accused.
Abromavicius was refused bail.
Both defendants will appear again on August 17.
