A woman who has appeared in court for stealing a pair of leggings from a Portadown store will have to wait until next month to learn her fate.
The 42-year-old’s barrister stated that the defendant did have relevant convictions and was currently subject to a suspended prison sentence.
Bernie Fitzpatrick, of Cloneen, Dungannon pleaded guilty to theft at Craigavon Magistrates’ on Wednesday.
As the charges were read, it was heard that the defendant had stolen leggings to the value of £10 from Peacocks.
District Judge Mark McGarrity commented on whether a pre-sentence report would be required in the case.
Defence barrister Conor Lunny stated: “There is a very relevant record, during her most recent probation order she is operating well and there is also a live suspended sentence.”
Judge McGarrity said: “A pre-sentence report might be of benefit to see how she is getting on with probation.”
The case was adjourned until December 4 for sentencing.
