A Portadown woman, who claimed more than £4,000 in benefits while working, appeared before Craigavon Magistrates’ Court today (Tuesday).
Elaine Douglas (32) of Oakwood Place, claimed Income Support and Carers Allowance totalling £4,180 while failing to declare employment.
She was given a two year conditional discharge and ordered to pay court costs of £43.
She is also required to repay any outstanding money wrongfully obtained to the Social Security Agency.
