Man (22) charged with multiple offences after ATM stolen at Fruitfield near Richhill

ATM stolen at Fruitfield in Richhill

A man has been charged in relation to the theft of an ATM at Fruitfield at Richhill.

Detectives from the PSNI’s Organised Crime Unit have charged the 22-year-old man with a number of offences including theft, criminal damage, arson, possession of a firearm without a licence and possession of a firearm in suspicious circumstances.

The charges relate to the theft of the ATM machine at at the Portadown Road property during the early hours of Tuesday morning.

A digger had been used to remove the cash machine and it was later located along the Moy Road.

The man – who had been arrested earlier today (Thursday) – is expected to appear before Newry Magistrates’ Court tomorrow, (Friday).

As is normal procedure all charges will be reviewed by the PPS.
