A new retail park is on the cards for Co. Armagh.
The development will offer around 33,000 sq ft worth of trading and mixed-use space at Kilmore, close to Richhill.
It will be based on the site of the former Stonebridge Cabinet Works, owned by Rowntrees, which ceased trading 22 years ago.
Now the site has been acquired by a local developer who has big plans for the latest commercial enterprise for County Armagh
It will be known as the Stonebridge Commercial Retail Park.
And the work is now underway to secure tenants for the new park, which has toilet facilities available on site.
Armagh based CPS has been tasked with that aspect of the work.
A spokesperson for CPS said the retail park represents a “significant redevelopment”.
CPS is aiming to secure a range of tenants for a mixed use of requirements.
The 33,ooo sq-feet is for adaptable retail units and commercial space, to “suit various tenants needs”.
There is an additional hard-core filled commercial yard of around two acres, with road frontage.
The spokesperson said: “The commercial landlord will adapt the property to suit any prospective tenant and tailor it to their needs.”
The retail park is described as being in a “prime location” just off the Armagh – Portadown Road (Stonebridge Roundabout), with “multiple customer parking”.
Among possibilities, it is described as being suitable for industrial or storage warehousing with extensive stoned yards and road frontage for commercial usage, and “would be a perfect opportunity for car/ van sales truck hire”.
The first tenant has already taken up occupancy with a modern gym on site.
