Pictures: Santa arrives at Hardy Memorial Primary School with police escort

There was a collective sigh of relief this year at Hardy Memorial Primary School in Richhill as the grinch failed to make a unwelcome appearance on the last day of term.

Instead, Santa and his elves was allowed to arrive – with a police escort – unhindered to deliver a sackful of gifts to all the good boys and girls of the school….all of them!

The event, which is fast becoming a Christmas tradition, was organised by Richhill AFC, along with with the Hardy Memorial Parent-Teacher Association – and in partnership with the local Neighbourhood Policing Team.

All the gifts were sponsored by local businesses in the area.

Posting on their own social media, the Armagh Neighbourhood Policing Team said they were delighted to be invited for a third year running.

“This year was a lot quieter as The Grinch was still in Who-ville jail after last year’s antics. Thank you to Richhill AFC for the invite and it was our pleasure to help out again this year.”
