Pearse Og have confirmed through their official Facebook page that clubman Ronan Clarke is progressing well after suffering a serious head injury in action last night.
The former inter-county All Star collided with a goal post in Pearse Og Senior Championship clash with Maghery. Clarke made his best efforts to latch on to a high ball in the goal mouth during the second half, but unfortunately bumped into the right hand post.
The full forward got back to his feet afterwards and appeared to be fine, but his condition dramatically declined after the match and he was rushed to Craigavon Area Hospital.
He remains in intensive care and is expected to undergo tests in the coming days. We send our best wishes and hope his recovery continues to progress.
