An 18-year-old man arrested in connection with a road traffic collision in the Forkhill Road area of Cloughoge on Sunday has been released on bail.

Police received and responded to a report of a two vehicle collision at around 10.20pm on June 8.

Northern Ireland Ambulance Service and Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service also attended the scene.

The male driver and female passenger of one of the vehicles were both taken to hospital for treatment for their injuries, which were not believed to be life threatening.

The 18-year-old was subsequently arrested on suspicion of a number of driving offences, including failing to stop at, remain at and report an accident where injury was caused, and driving with excess alcohol in breath.

He has now been freed on bail to allow for further enquiries.
