A Co Armagh fashion designer has recreated Meghan Markle’s stunning wedding dress she donned for the Royal Wedding on Saturday, in just 22 hours!
Shauna Fay, from Jonesborough, with the help of Sharon Patterson, owner of Elody Bride in Newry, set out on the task moments after laying eyes on the dress as the new Duchess of Sussex climbed the steps of St George’s Chapel, Windsor, on Saturday.
Posting the images to her Facebook page, Shauna said: “This all started out as an idea and a bit of fun to attempt to recreate such an iconic look and to promote all the lovely ladies in business involved from all over Northern Ireland!
“Wonderful team effort and we hope you like it! I’m pretty sure if the gorgeous Meghan sees this she will have a good laugh at how crazy us lot are!”
Armagh model Cleo Parkinson completed the look as she showed off the stunning dress with a photoshoot by Rashida Keenan Photography at Newry Cathederal and Darver Castle.
The veil was handmade by Sharon Patterson from Elody Bride. The tiara, also handmade by Donna Mackin Millinery. The rings and jewellery all supplied by Gemma from Jack Murphy Jewellers Newry.
The make-up was done by Rosemary Wright and hair by Suzanne from Chocolate Blonde Hair Couture.
The flower arch and bouquet were created by Martina at Creative Designs Bridal.
