A newly refurbished children’s play park in Dromintee has been described as “welcome community asset”.
Slieve Gullion area Sinn Féin councillor Mickey Larkin has praised all those involved in the delivery of the park.
The local elected representative said: “The Park is thronged with children and parents enjoying the state of the art facility.
“I would commend all those involved in the delivery of the play park for Dromintee, from the Council officers to the design team, the contractors and the members of the community who took part in the consultation.
“he new layout and equipment is designed to encourage residents of all ages to take time out, to relax, to play and to to bond with family and neighbours.”
Concluding the Sinn Féin elected representative said: “This is just one of a number of upgrades and new play parks being provided by the Council to rural communities within the District.
“These facilities will help sustain healthy, happy and vibrant rural communities.”
