South Armagh GAA club scores approval to build new sports changing complex and gym

The application was submitted to council in the summer and plans have now been given permission to proceed

A south Armagh GAA club is celebrating after being given the go-ahead to build a new sports changing complex.

Mullaghbawn GFC has scored planning approval from Newry, Mourne and Down District Council for the development at its Cranny Road ground.

The works will see the construction of a sports changing complex and gym.

It will also include two kit stores and a referee’s room.

The building will consist of three changing rooms, and there will be two additional changing rooms attached to the new gym.

The development will also incorporate unisex toilet provision and a maintenance room.

Proposals include car parking facilities on site as well as associated works.
