A fundraising page has been set up to help support the family of a motorcyclist who is fighting for his life in hospital.

Dario Cecconi suffered serious injuries following a crash at the Tandragee 100 at the weekend.

The 38-year-old was involved with another rider on the approach to Bells Crossroads during the final lap of the Senior Support race. The other rider was uninjured.

The subsequent two races were abandoned as a result of the Italian’s crash.

A JustGiving page has since been set up to help raise £2,500 for Mr Cecconi’s family.

David McWaters, who started the page, said: “I met Dario for the first time at the weekend whilst competing at the Tandragee 100 road races. A true gent.

“Dario unfortunately was involved in a crash and is critically ill in hospital. I’ve set the page up to help raise funds in support of his recovery to pass to his family. Fight hard Dario.”

In just over one day, half that target has been reached. To help donate, please click the JustGiving link here.
