High value thefts in Scarva ‘another concerning incident’ locally

The theft of high-valued machinery in Scarva this week has been described as “another concerning incident” in the locality following a similar crime carried out in Loughgall.

Overnight on Thursday – into Friday morning – thieves broke into a shed and garage at Terryhoogan Road, Scarva.

The theft involved a trailer, a generator, a quad, a power washer and a number of power tools.

Commenting, Cusher DUP Council representative Alderman Gareth Wilson, said: “This is another concerning incident and follows the theft of machinery in the Loughgall area earlier in the week.

“In this latest incident other expensive items have been stolen and I would urge people to be extremely vigilant over the next few weeks and report immediately anything that appears suspicious to the PSNI.

“Vigilance is key in disrupting this type of criminality and hopefully the PSNI with the assistance of the public can thwart the thieves.”
