A woman was punched in the head by a man outside a pub in Tandragee on Friday night, December 30.
Police are appealing for information following the assault, which occurred outside a licensed premises in the Market Street area of the county Armagh town.
It is reported that a 30-year-old woman was assaulted by a man sometime between 11.30pm and 11.45pm.
The woman was punched to the head and it is believed that a number of people witnessed this and intervened.
The woman required hospital treatment for her injuries which are not believed to be life threatening.
Constable Mark Purdy said: “I would ask anyone who witnessed this incident, or knows anything about it, to contact Armagh Police Station on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 867 of 01/01/17. Or if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
