Police are appealing for help to trace the occupants of a white van after it was reported that a “male stared purposely” towards a young schoolgirl.
They believe that it may have been linked to an earlier alleged incident in which verbal comments were shouted towards the same child.
It happened in Tandragee.
Police say that, this morning, Thursday, between 8am and 9am, a van with two occupants, a male and female, was seen parked near the Ballymore Inn at Market Street.
“On this occasion olice have been informed the male stared purposely a towards a female school child,” police say.
“The reason we’re concerned was that yesterday ( same time and location ) the same vehicle this time with only the male occupant was sighted.
“The same male was then alleged to have shouted verbal comments toward the same school child .
“We are concerned about the two incidents and keen to speak with anyone who may have any information or recalls the incident or similar incidents.”
The man is described as wearing dirty jenas, a black leather jacket and a hat.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the PSNI in Armagh on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 251 of 7/1/2016 .
