Detectives are appealing for information after a taxibus was hijacked.
The driver of the vehicle, a grey Hyundai, picked up four passengers, two men and two females, in the Banbridge area shortly before 1.30am on Thursday.
Police say they had been travelling along the Bovean Road in Dungannon when one of the passengers asked to take a “comfort break” at the side of the road.
The taxi driver was then punched in the head and pulled from the vehicle, which they made off in. It was later found burnt out on the Annaghbeg Road.
Detectives in Dungannon want anyone with information to contact them on the non-emergency number 101. Alternatively, information can be passed anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
