Thieves ransacked a house in Bessbrook after gaining entry through a kitchen window.
The burglary happened last Monday (January 9) at a residential premises in the Cloghareran Park of the village.
It was reported that between the hours of 3.30pm and 6.15pm on Monday, January 9, entry was gained to a residential premises via the kitchen window in the Cloghareran Park.
The property was ransacked and a number of jewellery items were taken.
Constable Andrew Davis said : “We are appealing to anyone that may have any information or to anyone that may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area or to anyone that may have been offered similar items for sale in suspicious circumstances to contact police on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 881 on 09/01/17.
“Or, alternatively if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
