Police in Newry are appealing for information following an assault that happened in the Belfast Road area last Saturday night, February 14.
It was reported that a 21-year-old man was assaulted by a number of other men in the area, sometime between 10.30pm and 10.50pm.
He required hospital treatment for his injuries which are not believed to be life threatening.
Constable Jonny Hart said: “Three men, aged 24, 20 and 20, were arrested in the Newry area on Thursday, February 19, in relation to the incident. They were later released on police bail pending further enquiries.
“I would ask anyone with any information about this incident to contact Ardmore Police Station on the non-emergency number 101.
